is Tarbiyat Center?
Tarbiyat Center is an auditorium/housing facility, located on about
60+ acres in the beautiful mountains of northern New Mexico, about 17
miles north of Las Vegas, New Mexico. It is ideal for small conferences
or retreats for spiritual, business, arts or any other activity where a
different and tranquil setting is desired.
What are the auditorium
facilities like at Tarbiyat Center?
First and foremost, Tarbiyat Center is a large, open auditorium with
flexible seating for up to 80 participants. Arrangements of chairs or
tables and chairs can be laid out according to your needs, including
using mats instead of chairs if desired. A small stage at the front also
provides clear visual access by the participants to the speaker or
action at the front.
Can slide shows or
movies be projected?
Yes, the auditorium lends itself easily to projections for
discussion.
What other facilities are
available?
Tarbiyat Center also includes a lower level, which can be arranged
to hold workshops or break-out groups.
A kitchen/cafeteria area is
also available for use. The cafeteria can be used without additional
costs, and can hold smaller groups for break-outs or other work. The
commercial-sized kitchen is available for rent, and can be used to
easily prepare meals for large groups.
There is also some covered
seating outdoors for eating.
How convenient is Tarbiyat Center to local hotels and motels?
It is
an easy, peaceful and inspiring 20-25 minute drive through the beautiful
plains area, on well-maintained highways, to Las Vegas, where visitors
have a choice of a number of hotels and motels.
What about camping?
Camping is available on the grounds, and can arranged in advance to
accommodate your needs and desires.
There
is a large, open space, protected by trees on nearly all four sides that
make it ideal for small campsites.

What staffing is
available at Tarbiyat Center?
While
there is not full-time onsite staff at Tarbiyat Center, arrangements can
often be made with local residents to handle your onsite staffing needs
during your gathering at Tarbiyat Center.

What are weather and
environmental conditions at Tarbiyat Center like?
The elevation here is 7200’, and located in the mountains. As such,
the winters can be cold, with frequent snow. Aesthetically this is as
beautiful in the winter as the summer. Summer rains are usually short in
duration, lasting only a brief time in the afternoons. The evening and
night-time skies are clearly visible and a majesty to behold. Night-time
activities outside in the summer time can be exquisite.
Because we are located in the mountains, the temperature does cool off
quite a bit at night and stays cool into early morning. The climate here
is dry, and though our summers can be hot, the dry heat is not as
enervating as in more humid areas of the country.
